Advertisements for the Bed and Breakfast establishment called Valmar-House were placed in the Weekly Times and other newspapers from June 1951, and continued until December 1954, when the Trove digital newspapers comes to a halt.   The proprietors were CH & EP Dart, 269 Ascot-vale Rd.  The house appears to be identical with the one at 259 Ascot Vale Rd.

 

The Sands & McDougall Directories show Claude H Dart at 269 Ascot Vale Rd, Moonee Ponds in 1955.  In 1960 and 1965 the Sands & Mc shows Las Vegas Guest House.   By 1960 it is showing "Flats".
