Houses of Essendon
21 Napier Street, Essendon, now number 57, the southern-most dwelling in a row of eight terraced houses. Courtesy of HughFR on Ancestry.
There is a sign on the balcony reading "A H C Freeman, Plumber & Gasfitter". In 1900, 21 Napier St was vacant, and in 1903 Freeman was living there. By 1905 he was listed in the Sands & McDougall Melbourne Directory at 32 Napier St, on the opposite side of Napier St, and close to the football ground.
