Keilor Football Club, 1912

Jim Anderson captained the Keilor Football Club.  He is pictured here, standing in his football gear, far right, in 1912.  He appears to have been the largest player in the team.  He was an imposing 5 feet 11 inches in height and 14 stone when he enlisted in 1914. The young fellow on the front far left row, Roy McGregor, wrote to his mother from Gallipoli on 14/8/15, saying,  "This is Saturday afternoon, but I won't be playing football with Keilor to-day."
