Time Travellers in Essendon, Flemington and the Keilor Plains
Houses of Essendon
"Dolcoath", the home of the Rabling family. In 1921 the address was 69 Primrose Street, but in later years it became
55 Primrose St. The house was demolished some years ago. Pictured on the verandah are Clarice Lillian "Lil" Rabling in the deck chair, and her father Frank on the right. Probably another sister inside the door. "Dolcoath" is from the Dolcoath mine in Cornwall. The Rabling family was involved in management of the mine, including multiple branches. The mine was a definite stake in the ground for the family.
